About the Coalition:
The Act Now Against Meth Coalition was formed in the Summer of 2005 as a community response to the growing methamphetamine abuse epidemic in the County of Los Angeles and its fueling of new HIV infections. As a grassroots movement, the mission of the coalition is to mobilize the community and create greater awareness of the destructive nature of methamphetamine abuse. Members of the coalition represent local community based organizations, recovery and treatment homes, neighborhood councils, youth agencies, churches and businesses.
